Hello guys, this is my first post here, I know that you might be thinking now: but didn't you write down four days ago that that post was your first? Yeah and no. Yeah because it was really the very first insight of the blog, and no because it was written by someone else's hand, by the hands of a very estimated friend of mine, Uel, who actually invited me to be part of this.
This morning when I was watching one of Jordan Peterson videos, I was confroted by this very interesting way of thinking of gods by the ancient people. Today, the monotheist way of thinking god is the religious standard, at least at western world. But back then the situation it was not the same, many cultures and civilizations based their religions upon several gods and we, at least me, never really think about why did the ancient people thought that way. You know, for instance, The Greeks and Romans believed in various gods, and the they believed that they were simple toys for the game or the battle of the gods. This vision could cause at first sight to be a very simple one, but surprisingly, that way of thinking turns out to be very sophisticated. Let's think in terms of the human knowledge, there are several things that are rational, it means that they can be observed, analysed and synthetized by rational tools in a very precise and concise way. But there are other things that our brain knows and feel, and in fact can be observed, but we cannot analyse, measure and know how they interact with each other, these things like emotions, feelings, and so on, that are in resume "unknown" and a lot of times are powering our behaviors, they were treated by ancient as gods and immortals. There were a goddess of beauty and love, a god of anger, a god of pleasure, a god of bravery and so on. This gods were allegories for things that the human being at the time and even now don't get a grasp of what that things might be and where these things came from. Their own notion of immortality of gods, were embedeed with human being, and it has to do with the repetition of these feelings, these emotions along the frame time of human existence, you know, the anger, the love, the pleasure endure, win the death of a human being, you cabd die and the next generation will experiment these same things. And we can conclude that for them(ancient people) there were a very close relationship between their gods and the unconscious ,irrational and unknown parts of the human being and the nature, and certainly these gods will keep fighting and playing inside all of us and making us to act out as they wish.
